Duncan Cross Stitched Tartan

Each tartan has been researched and hand-charted (not machine reproductions like some designs) to bring you, the experienced crafter, the most authentic tartan pattern in color and appearance.

The Scottish clan tartan and state tartan cross stitch patterns use a uniquely distinctive stitch approach to give you the appearance of an actual piece of tartan fabric, and the latch hook patterns result in a soft, plush tartan-like rug.

Find Your Clan or State

Locate your family’s clan name or U.S. state by using the Search area to the right. Or, browse through the Scottish clan names and U.S. states using the index to the left. If you do not find your clan name, or if you don’t know to which clan your family name belongs, send me an e-mail using the Contact Form to the right. I will research the name and, if possible, add the clan name products to the website.

Delivery Options

Two delivery options are available to receive your tartan pattern. See the appropriate Product page for more details and costs. Please note that all sales are final; there are no refunds or returns.

Pattern Only

This is the quickest, easiest, and least expensive delivery option.  The pattern will be downloaded immediately in PDF format. Included is a fully-charted downloadable pattern, a brief history of the clan or state tartan, specific instructions for completing the project, and several reference listings for your information. Be sure to have Adobe Reader downloaded first – it is free. With this option, you purchase your own floss, yarn, and canvas.

Kit

With this delivery option, you will receive, by regular mail, the fully-charted tartan pattern and accompanying documentation, plus sufficient floss, yarn, canvas, and other materials needed to work on the project.
