Welcome to Jo’s Clan and State Crochet Afghan Tartan Patterns
Jo’s Tartan Patterns offers unparalleled, one of a kind, Clan Tartan Patterns and the little known U.S. state tartans. Each tartan has been researched and hand-charted (not machine reproductions like some designs) to bring you, the experienced crocheter, the most authentic tartan pattern in color and appearance.
Afghan Sample
These Scottish clan tartan crochet afghan patterns employ a uniquely distinctive approach, using two strands of knitting/crochet yarn, to give you the appearance of a plush tartan. The finished size of the afghan varies, depending on the design, but usually ranges from 45 to 48 inches wide and 60 to 72 inches long.

If you do not find your clan name below, send me an e-mail using the Contact Form to the right and I will add the pattern. If you don’t know to which clan your family name belongs, send me an e-mail, and I will research the name and, if possible, add the clan name products to the website.

Delivery Options
Two delivery options are available to receive your tartan pattern. Please note that all sales are final; there are no refunds or returns.
Pattern Only – $8.00, no shipping and handling charges
This is the quickest, easiest, and least expensive delivery option. The pattern will be downloaded immediately in PDF format. Included are fully-charted downloadable crochet instructions, a brief history of the clan and their tartan, and the amount of yarn needed to complete the afghan. With this option, you purchase your own yarn.
Kit – $175.00, plus $25.00 shipping and handling
With this delivery option, you will receive, by regular mail, the tartan pattern and accompanying documentation, plus sufficient yarn required to complete the afghan. No crochet hook is provided. The pattern and documentation are included in the kit, which will be mailed to you within 4 weeks.
