Sinclair Cross Stitch Tartan Towel/Bookmark Pattern

Sinclair Tartan, Source: Wikipedia
Sinclair Clan Tartan
The Sinclair tartan is a minor variation on the Cockburn specimen (1810-1815), which also appears in a painting of Alexander, 13th Earl of Caithness, who lived between 1790 and 1858.
About Your Cross Stitch Towel/Bookmark
The entire pattern is stitched in full cross stitch stitches, using two strands of floss on 14-count or 16-count Aida canvas imbedded within the towel or bookmark. There are no half- or quarter-stitches and no backstitching. The pattern included in the download measures 3”x14”. This ensures that the pattern will be of sufficient size for the majority of the cross stitch towels and bookmarks. Depending on the size of the towel or bookmark, you may not have room to stitch the entire pattern. Always start at the center of the pattern and work out to the edges.
The image above is from the first page of documentation that accompanies the pattern. It is not a picture of the final product and does not represent the cloth-like appearance you will achieve. Please refer to the samples pictured on the Product Samples page for an example of how the finished product will look.
