Idaho State Counted Cross Stitch Tartan Plaque

Idaho State Tartan
The Idaho State Tartan was designed by Jan Crook and is a color modification of the Black Watch tartan. The tartan was approved by the Centennial Commission as the official Idaho State Tartan. The Lasting Legacy Committee of the Centennial Commission also mentioned “Mr. John McEwing who contributed so much to the heritage of the Scots in Idaho”.
About Your Cross Stitch Plaque
The entire pattern is stitched in full cross stitch stitches, using two strands of floss on 16-count Aida canvas. There are no half- or quarter-stitches and no backstitching. Because of the unique combination of floss and stitching, the finished cross stitch tartan appears cloth-like. The completed tartan will fit into a standard 11 x 8 1/2 inch frame, or you may choose to have this beautiful work of art and family history professionally framed.
The image above is from the first page of documentation that accompanies the pattern. It is not a picture of the final product and does not represent the cloth-like appearance you will achieve. Please refer to the samples pictured on the Home page or Product Samples page for an example of how the finished product will look.
